Predct uses virtual credits only, but the mechanics of prediction markets — streaks, near-misses, big multipliers — can still affect how you think about risk. This page sets out our commitments and some practical guidance.
1. Our commitments
- We never sell virtual credits and never accept payment of any kind for balance.
- We show win probability, edge and expected value alongside every payout multiplier, so the downside is never hidden behind the upside.
- We do not send loss-chasing prompts, streak-pressure notifications, or “one more leg” marketing.
- We restrict the Service to adults.
2. Healthy habits
- Decide in advance how long a session will last, and stop when it ends.
- Treat the simulation as a way to study pricing, not as a scoreboard.
- Do not increase stake size to recover a losing streak — variance does not owe you anything.
- Take a break after a large simulated win as well as a large loss; both distort judgement.
3. Warning signs
- Playing longer or more often than you intended, repeatedly.
- Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when you cannot play.
- Thinking about parlays during work, study or time with other people.
- Using the simulation to escape low mood or stress.
- Moving from simulated play into real-money betting to feel the same intensity.
4. Taking a break
You can reset your simulation at any time by signing out and clearing your local data, which removes your balance, positions and history. If you want your access closed entirely, contact us and we will help.
