Cookie Policy

A full inventory of the cookies and browser storage Predct uses, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to control them.

This Cookie Policy explains how Predct uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. We keep this to the minimum needed to make the product work.

1. What these technologies are

A cookie is a small text file a site stores on your device. Local storage is a similar browser mechanism that holds data on your device until it is cleared. Both let a site remember information between page loads.

2. Strictly necessary storage

  • predct.accounts.v2 — local storage. Holds every demo account created on this device: display name, email, virtual balance, position history and a salted SHA-256 hash of the password you chose. Persists until you delete the account or clear site data; signing out does not remove it.
  • predct.session.v2 — local storage. Records which of those accounts is currently signed in. Removed when you sign out.
  • predct.slip.v2:<email> — local storage. Holds the parlay legs currently in your slip, kept per account so it survives navigation and refresh. Persists until you clear the slip or clear site data.
  • predct.consent.v1 — local storage. Records your cookie choice so we do not ask again. Persists for 12 months or until cleared.

3. Analytics and marketing

Predct does not currently set analytics, advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies, and does not embed third-party ad pixels. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential technology is set, and this page will be updated first.

4. Third-party requests

We load web fonts from Google Fonts. That request exposes your IP address and user agent to Google so the font files can be delivered; it does not set advertising cookies for Predct. Our hosting provider may set an essential cookie for load balancing and security.

5. How to control cookies

You can accept or decline non-essential storage using the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time by clearing site data. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies and local storage in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will sign you out and empty your parlay slip.

6. Changes

We review this inventory whenever we ship a change that touches storage, and update the date at the top accordingly.
