Is Predct real money?
No. Every balance, stake, payout and leaderboard figure is in virtual credits with no monetary value. There are no deposits, no withdrawals, no purchases and no prizes. Credits cannot be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed for anything.
Do I need to pay for anything?
No. Predct is free to use and has no paid tier, no credit packs and no subscriptions. If anyone offers to sell you Predct credits, it is a scam.
How do I get started?
Create an account, confirm your age and country, and you receive 250 practice credits. Add a leg from any market, set a stake and place the parlay.
What is a parlay?
A single position made of several predictions. Every leg must be correct for the parlay to pay. That is why the multiplier grows quickly and the win chance shrinks quickly.
What does the multiplier mean?
It is what one credit returns if the parlay hits. A 5.00x parlay with a 20-credit stake pays 100 credits back, including your stake.
Why did my payout drop when I added a leg?
You added a leg correlated with one you already had — same event cluster, or same category. Correlated legs are closer to one bet than two, so the joint probability rises and the fair multiplier falls. The slip tells you when this happens.
Do I need every leg to hit?
Yes. A parlay is all-or-nothing: every leg has to land or the stake is lost. That is why the multiplier climbs so fast with each leg — an eight-leg parlay is a long shot by construction. Place a single leg if you want a straight, high-probability bet.
Can I close a position before it resolves?
No. Positions run to settlement, which arrives about 45 seconds after placement on the accelerated demo clock.
What counts as a correlated leg?
Two legs on the same underlying event (the same match, the same CPI print, the same coin) carry a 0.55 weight. Two legs merely in the same category carry 0.14. Everything else is treated as independent.
Can I put two legs on the same market?
No. Adding a second outcome from a market you already have replaces the existing leg, so a parlay can never contain a bet against itself.
What is 'edge'?
The gap between the Predct model's probability for your parlay and the price being offered. Every quote is priced off whichever view — market or model — is less generous, so the gap is always at least the 4.5% platform margin. There is no leg combination that prices in your favour.
What is 'break-even'?
The hit rate your parlay needs for the offered price to be fair. If your honest estimate of the parlay is below it, the trade loses credits in the long run. It is shown on the slip next to the win chance, with the platform margin underneath.
What is the house margin?
4.5%, applied to the fair multiplier on every parlay. It is fixed, disclosed, and identical whatever you bet.
When do positions settle?
On an accelerated clock, roughly 45 seconds after placement, so you can see a full cycle instead of waiting for real-world dates. Open positions show a countdown in your portfolio.
Why did my parlay lose when every leg looked likely?
Multiply the probabilities. Four legs at 70% is 24% — losing is the normal outcome. Each leg resolves from a deterministic draw against its own probability, so over many positions the hit rate converges on the win chance the slip showed.
Can I refresh to get a different result?
No. Outcomes are derived from a hash of the position and its legs, so the same position always resolves the same way on every device and every reload.
Are the markets real?
The questions are modelled on the kinds of contracts you see on public prediction markets, but the prices, volumes and histories are illustrative data generated for the simulation. Nothing here is a live quote and nothing settles against a real-world source.
Can I run out of credits?
Your balance and full position history persist on this device — signing out and back in with the same email restores them exactly, and never grants new credits. If you run nearly dry, settings offers one top-up to 100 credits every 24 hours.
Where is my account stored?
In your browser's local storage on the device you are using, under the keys predct.accounts.v2, predct.session.v2 and predct.slip.v2. There is no server-side account: your password is only checked against a salted SHA-256 hash kept in that same browser, so it protects the profile on this device and nothing more. Clearing site data removes everything — export from settings first.
Will my positions follow me to another device?
No. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching browser or device gives you a fresh account. You can export your account as JSON from settings before you clear anything.
How do I delete my account and data?
Settings has a delete option that removes every Predct key from local storage. Because nothing is stored on our servers, that deletion is complete and immediate.
Which countries can use Predct?
The full named list, with the reason and the minimum age for each territory, is on the availability page. Sign-up is blocked for countries on the not-available list.
Why is my country blocked when no money is involved?
Several jurisdictions regulate anything that looks like betting regardless of whether anything of value changes hands, and some are subject to sanctions. We hold no gaming licence anywhere, so we stay out of those markets rather than test the boundary.
Can I take a break or exclude myself?
Yes. Settings has a self-exclusion switch that locks placement and hides the slip. It is a personal tool, not a regulated exclusion scheme.
Is anything here investment or betting advice?
No. Predct is educational. Nothing on the site is investment, betting, legal or tax advice, and no outcome here predicts a real event.
Is my data sold or shared?
No. There is no advertising, no analytics profiling and no sale of personal data. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is processed.
How do I report a bug or a security issue?
Email support@predct.app for bugs. Security reports go to the address in the Contact policy, and we ask for a private, good-faith disclosure.
